On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. The park abounds with a diverse range of game species. You can expect to encounter huge herds of waterbuck, zebra, buffalo, and even the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Furthermore, Lake Nakuru National Park offers one of the best opportunities for leopard sightings in Kenya, and it is home to several large prides of lions.

Despite its relatively compact size of 188 square kilometers (162 square miles), Lake Nakuru National Park offers excellent accessibility and easy game viewing. The interior roads are well-maintained and easy to navigate, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable wildlife viewing experience.

Lake Nakuru national park is a home to approximately 400 bird species residing in the savannah plains of the park and on the shores of Lake Nakuru, these birds include pink flamingoes, little grebes, ducks, white winged black terns, stilts, avocets, goliath herons, hammerkops, pied kingfishers, African fish eagle, verreaux’s eagle and many more.
