🗓️ Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park

  • 08:00 AM: Depart Nairobi and drive to Aberdare National Park (~3.5 hrs)

  • Arrive for lunch at Aberdare Country Club (base lodge)

  • Transfer to The Ark Lodge / Treetops Lodge in the park via lodge shuttle

  • Afternoon and night at the lodge's waterhole viewing decks – watch forest elephants, buffaloes, and bush pigs come to drink

  • Dinner & overnight:

    • 🏞️ The Ark Lodge or Treetops Lodge

🗓️ Day 2: Aberdare – Samburu National Reserve

  • Early breakfast, then drive to Samburu National Reserve (~4–5 hrs)

  • Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge

  • Afternoon game drive in search of Samburu’s "Special Five":

    • Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, Reticulated giraffe, and Gerenuk

  • Dinner & overnight at:

    • 🏨 Mid-Range: Samburu Sopa / Ashnil Samburu

🗓️ Day 3: Full Day in Samburu

  • Morning and afternoon game drives

  • Explore along the Ewaso Nyiro River – a magnet for elephants, leopards, crocodiles

  • Cultural visit to a Samburu village (optional)

  • Relax at the lodge midday

  • Dinner & overnight at same lodge/camp

🗓️ Day 4: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

  • After breakfast, drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy (~3 hrs)

  • Check-in and lunch at your lodge/camp

  • Afternoon game drive:

    • Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary

    • See the last northern white rhinos, and search for lions, rhinos, and elephants

  • Dinner & overnight at:

🗓️ Day 5: Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park

  • Afternoon game drive to spot:

    • Rhinos, flamingos, lions, giraffes, and more

  • Dinner & overnight at:

🗓️ Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve

  • Scenic drive through Rift Valley escarpments and plains

  • Arrive for lunch and afternoon rest

  • Evening game drive in the Mara: Expect lions, elephants, zebras, and more

  • Dinner & overnight at:

🗓️ Day 7: Full Day in Maasai Mara

  • Full-day game drive with picnic lunch

  • Explore the savannahs in search of the Big Five

  • Visit Mara River for crocodiles, hippos, and (seasonal) wildebeest migration crossings

  • Optional hot air balloon safari or Maasai village visit (extra)

  • Dinner & overnight at the same lodge/camp

🗓️ Day 8: Maasai Mara – Nairobi

  • Early breakfast, check out, and drive back to Nairobi (~5–6 hrs)

  • Optional stop at a souvenir shop or local restaurant for lunch

  • Drop-off at your hotel or JKIA Airport for evening flight
